2008 Villopoto raced in the AMA Supercross Lites East Region Series, where he earned three wins and three additional podium finishes… He won the AMA Motocross Lites Championship with eight overall wins and three additional podium finishes… Member of Monster Energy AMA Team USA, which won the Motocross of Nations… Raced with Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team.

2007 Villopoto won the AMA Supercross Lites West Region Series championship title by winning all but one of the races in the series and finishing on the podium at the remaining race... Won the AMA Motocross Lites Championship title for a second time, earned with five overall wins and six additional podium finishes... Member of Monster Energy AMA Team USA, which won the Motocross of Nations... Named AMA Pro Racing SPEED Athlete of the Year... Raced with Team Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki.
