Q: What activities engaged you
at 9:35 this morning?
A: Thinking about how to get a holeshot on any saturday night while driving to the track.
Q: Where
do you generally go on vacation -- and why?
A: Any lake in Michigan with my family in the summer. It's a good time to catch up and relax.
Q: What
kind of cool stuff does your garage keep cozy ?
A: A CR125, a YZ250, a KLX110, a super sick water truck and a tractor I saved for years to get.
Q: What bizarre,
eccentric behavior would your wife say you display from time-to-time?
A: I definitely have an issue keeping secrets that I decide would be fun for to tell.
Q: When
do you plan on retiring from racing and what are your plans from there?
A: Just like John Dowd, I am coming into my prime. I am 28, so I figure with the advances in modern science and my high level of income I can race until I'm 45 at least.
Q: What’s your earliest
motocross racing memory?
A: Baja Acres in Michigan on a PW50 with my dad showing me what lines to take. Oddly enough, he was in four of the seven turns every lap! Dude was quick!
Q: You’ve had many interesting
teammates over the years, none more unique than present. What’s
your take on JLAW and where do you see his career going?
A: Hopefully through the 2009 nationals at least...
Q: Realizing that No. 28 is Ryan Dungey now, but it seems like
for years, we saw you (No. 27) almost always dicing against No. 26 and No. 28,
usually in a three-bike freight train all moto long. What the heck was going
on?
A: I guess I just couldn't shake those suckers. With my emerging Dowd strength, I feel confident that Dungey will not be a problem, though.
Q: If
you were King of Supercross, what changes would you mandate and why?
A: Semi qualifiers, bigger and longer whoop sections and 20-minute main events.
